Mother City Style.

To think, just a week ago I was in Cape Town and as I write this, I’m back in Joburg at my desk working on my blog….and trying to stay warm. Whilst in Cape Town, the first thing off my to do list was to create new and interesting content.

As soon as we landed in the Mother City, I felt inspired given the natural beauty and laid back atmosphere especially felt on a Sunday afternoon.

I wanted to collaborate with a photographer on street style inspired ideas that captured the essence of my personality in one of my favourite cities. I met with photographer Suzanne on Tuesday afternoon and immediately started discussing exciting ideas that we could work with.

After a (strong!) cup of coffee, we walked the streets of Cape Town CBD and an outfit or two later, we were well into a street style photo shoot.

Street style has always been my favourite platform to showcase fashion especially when envisioning images of New York and Paris. In this case, the streets of Cape Town are the perfect compliment to my fashion personality

In anticipation of the cold months ahead of us, I found a pink sweater so comfy; I could wear it all day. An oversized sweater is a must have in the winter months but should always be styled correctly to avoid looking frumpy.

For My Cape Town laid-back inspired look, I paired my pink sweater with a pair of ripped jeans and velvet boots. I accessorized with rose gold bands and a watch.
